One of my all time favourite leadership quotes is spoken by John Quincy Adam, where he said,
"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader".
This quote is one of my favourite quotes because it aligns with my own personal leadership philosophy. I believe that leaders are those that inspire others to act and are the ones that set an example for others to follow. They do not wait until someone else does something before them, but instead does whatever they believe in and strives for the best. They influence others to achieve and acquire more from life, and influences them to take initiate and follow their dreams. I believe that leaders inspire others to take on challenges and expect more from themselves.
This quote connects with the overall concept of leadership development because to be a leader, you must constantly strive to learn and better yourself. This quote shows how leaders not only have to challenge themselves, they must influence others so that they too will dream bigger and reach higher. The most important leadership skill that every leader should have is the ability to provide inspiration for others. Leaders are always taking initiate to constant learn and shape themselves to be who they want to be. This quote shows that to be truly great leader, your actions have the power to motivate others to become leaders as well.
